Field Trips

Four field trips, one for pre-congress and three for post-congress, were fixed. Application will start at May 19, from 9:00 a.m. JST from the registration site (https://amarys-jtb.jp/2ndasian/). Details were informed participants of the congress by e-mail. The updated plans are as follows:

Trip 1: Chubu area course (pre-congress, from July 31 to Aug. 3, 2023)

Permo-Triassic boundary and Triassic to Jurassic succession in pelagic setting in Inuyama, central Japan. Tentative Itinerary (PDF). Fee 55,000 JPY.

Trip 2: Hokuriku area course (post-congress, 4 days, from August 8 to August 11, 2023)

Upper Mesozoic marine and non-marine deposits in Tetori area, northern Central Japan: A unique window into the Early Cretaceous terrestrial ecosystem in Asian eastern margin. Tentative Itinerary (PDF). Fee 85,000 JPY.

Trip 3: Hokkaido area course (post-congress, 4 days, from August 8 to August 11, 2023) 

Mid- to Upper Cretaceous Yezo Group in Hokkaido: Ammonites and other marine fossils. Tentative Itinerary (PDF). Fee 110,000 JPY.

Trip4: Hokkaido area course (post-congress, 3 days, from August 8 to August 10, 2023) 

Mikasa City Museum, Culture and Nature. Tentative Itinerary (PDF). Fee 99,000 JPY.
